Check out the ABILITY Event!

The ABILITY event will be held this Friday, October 30th from 10 am to 2 pm in the Atwood Ballroom on the campus of St. Cloud State University. The ABILITY event works to raise awareness of persons with disabilities and what individuals with a disability may experience on a daily basis. Simulation experiences, a working lunch, and a community panel will follow. We hope to see you there! CMSAC would like your help in honoring our Women of Worth!

In August 2015, CMSAC began our Women of Worth program. W.O.W. is an empowering, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed psycho-educational program that covers various  topics relevant to women who have been involved in the sex industry in some form. CMSAC is currently looking for monetary donations to help purchase a gift for the women graduating from this program. Support Group for Women Survivors of Sexual Violence

CMSAC’s Support Group for Women Survivors of Sexual Violence begins next week! To sign up, please fill out our support group intake packet located here on our website under the tab, titled “Support Groups.” For any additional questions or information you can also contact the center at (320)-251-4357.

Want to make a difference in our community and support survivors of sexual violence?

Participate in our 40 hour sexual assault advocacy training and become a volunteer advocate! Training begins on Monday October 5, 2015! Call (320)251-4357 for training dates and more information.

You can also show your support for survivors of sexual violence by attending Central Minnesota’s annual Take Back the Night event held TOMORROW! Social hour begins at 5:00 pm at Lake George on 425 Lake Boulevard St. Cloud. Just in case, the rain location for the event will be in SCSU’s Halenbeck Hall Main Gym on 1000 4th Avenue South in St. Cloud.

Central MN Take Back the Night 2015

Please join us to raise awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence at Central MN Take Back the Night on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Eastman Park/Lake George, 425 Lake Blvd. St. Cloud, MN.

The event starts with displays, music, and informational tables at 5:00 pm, speakers start at 6:00 pm and the march through downtown St. Cloud starts at 8:00 pm. This year’s guest speaker will be Rebecca K., Rebecca will be speaking on the nexus of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. ASL, Somali, and Spanish interpretation services will be provided at the event. Rain site location will be at the Halenbeck Hall Main Gym located on the campus of SCSU at 1000 4th Avenue S. St. Cloud, MN.
