Safe Harbor Services Coordinator/Direct Services

Description: Full time position providing services to victims/survivors of sex trafficking/exploitation.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, knowledge of sexual violence issues, adaptability to working within a crisis team in a highly dynamic setting, excellent oral/written communication skills, cultural competency, willingness to travel within 4-county service area and work occasional weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and develop Safe Harbor services and outreach to reach victim/survivors of sex trafficking/exploitation in cooperation with MDH
  • Provide direct services, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, medical and criminal justice accompaniment, and individual/group support services to survivors of sexual violence
  • Provide primary prevention education to students and community members
  • Provide training, consultation, and technical assistance to promote best practices for serving sexually-exploited youth to multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Coordinate the Men Accountable for Sexual Exploitation program for male offenders

Sexual Assault Advocate/Direct Services Staff 

Description: Full time position providing services to all victims/survivors of sexual violence.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, knowledge of sexual violence issues, adaptability to working within a crisis team in a highly dynamic setting, excellent oral/written communication skills, cultural competency, willingness to travel within 4-county service area and work occasional weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-informed advocacy, crisis intervention, education, and one-to-one support and group support services to victims of sexual violence
  • Provide awareness and primary prevention education to students, community members, and multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Serve as staff back-up on the 24 hour crisis line as scheduled and respond to crisis and hospital calls received during business hours
  • Work with multidisciplinary professionals such as law enforcement, health care workers, legal personnel, to provide the best care for victims
  • Represent CMSAC in public settings
