S.C.A.R. Dolls Bout Proceeds to go Towards Services Provided at CMSAC!

Come join the Saint Cloud Area Roller (SCAR) Dolls for their final bout of the Home Team Season! The Gargoyle Brigade and the Prowlers each have one win under their belts this season. Which team will be this season’s victors?! Find out on Saturday, May 6th at the St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center!

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the first whistle blows at 7:00 p.m. The after party will be hosted at D.B. Searles (2nd Floor).

Tickets are $8.00 pre-sale or $12.00 at the door. Children 10 and under get in for free. Pre-sale tickets are available at Granite City Comics & Games, Skatin’ Place, and The Youth Shelter Supply.

A percentage of the profits from this event will be donated to the Central MN Sexual Assault Center.

“A Celebration of Healing” Event Tonight!

Don’t forget to join us tonight as we honor survivors and their allies with our “A Celebration of Healing” event to focus on self-care! The Celebration of Healing event will focus on yoga, self-defense, sensory activities, arts and crafts, and more.

The event is free and runs from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Courtyard Marriot’s ballroom, located at 404 W St Germain Street, St Cloud, MN 56301. Light refreshments and opportunities to win door prizes will be available. #SAAM

“A Celebration of Healing” Event

Come join us on April 27, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the grand ballroom in the Courtyard Marriott to honor the healing journey of survivors by focusing on and learning more about self-care and coping strategies! Allies are welcome.

This event will feature yoga and self-defense classes, as well as several arts and crafts and coping or self-care activities. Opportunities for door prizes focusing on self-care and light snacks/refreshments available. Admission is free.

Ways you can support a survivor of sexual violence #SAAM:

1. Believe them.
2. Encourage counseling.
3. Ask them about and support their decision on reporting to law enforcement and/or seeking medical attention.
4. Listen.

Art of Healing Event @ SCSU!

The Art of Healing: A Gallery for Survivors event will be held at the Atwood Memorial Center on St. Cloud State University’s campus on April 11th from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The event will display visual and literary art from student survivors on campus that have experienced sexual violence. Art submissions from survivors working with CMSAC are welcome. Submissions are due by April 4th and can be sent in @ womenscenter@stcloudstate.edu.

It’s Sex Trafficking Awareness Week at St. John’s/St. Ben’s University!

One of our staff members will be speaking at St. John’s University tonight at 7:00 pm in the Quad 170 Founders Room about CMSAC’s “Not Buying It” Demand Reduction School, rape culture, the impact of porn, and our services! We hope to see you there!
