I thought I would share this story (that has gone viral) and should be implemented in the US to keep women safe. We can do this on a local level too. England has set up a “code” for women who feel unsafe or want to get out of a bad date while meeting the person out somewhere. “Ask for Angela” is the code. The article is short and a very good idea. Also, at the bottom of this Yahoo article (scroll down to almost the end) is a video with the 2015 Stanford rape survivor statement that was read to Congress. It is very powerful (and empowering). It is only a few minutes long, but says so much. https://www.yahoo.com/beauty/ask-for-angela-is-the-secret-to-escaping-a-bad-or-unsafe-date-160226552.html
